The Rev. Dr. Philip Krey or Pastor Krey, as he likes to be called, began his service to St Andrew’s Lutheran Church in June of 2015 and loves the people of St. Andrew’s and the Pennridge community. Originally from Brooklyn, New York and New England he has served congregations in the mid-Atlantic for over 35 years. He and his family have lived in Germany and India to study and serve, and he most recently served as a professor of church history and president of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. All of this has prepared him for the exciting and growing ministry at St Andrew’s. He loves to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, work with young and older persons alike, and is excited about St Andrew’s passion for service in Christ to all in need both locally and around the world. He and his wife, Rene, have five adult children and nine grandchildren.
